What is Drop-IN
A regular vet appointment means you're present the whole time — waiting for the exam, waiting for bloodwork, waiting for the ultrasound, waiting for a diagnosis. That can easily eat up half a day, and if an X-ray turns out to be needed too, the whole day.

Drop-IN splits that apart. You're only there for drop-off and pick-up. Everything in between happens without you present — but not without you: we call before any additional procedure and before any cost we haven't agreed on in advance.

What Drop-IN is ideal for
Routine check-up and prevention
Clinical exam, blood count, biochemistry, urine — a complete health picture, especially for cats over seven.
Diagnosing unclear symptoms
Weight loss, vomiting, reduced appetite, changed habits. These are tests that take time and require combining several results.
Neutering and spaying
A planned procedure in the morning, waking and monitoring through the day, home in the evening — once the animal is already stable.
Ultrasound and X-ray
Imaging often needs preparation (fasting, an empty bladder, settling down). Drop-IN gives the room to do that properly.
Dental treatment
Tartar removal and tooth extraction under anaesthesia — needs time for a supervised recovery.
Chronic disease management
Kidneys, thyroid, diabetes — periodic monitoring for patients on long-term therapy.
Where your pet spends the day
Not in a cage in a hallway. Cats have a space separate from dogs — no barking, no dog smell, no strangers walking past the enclosure. The enclosure is covered on one side, because a cat that can hide is a cat that's less afraid.
You leave the carrier with us and, if you like, a blanket or T-shirt that smells like home. It's not a small thing — a familiar scent measurably lowers stress levels.
Does Drop-IN cost more
No. Drop-IN isn't a separate charge — you pay for the exam and procedures performed, at the same prices as a regular appointment. The day's stay isn't billed separately.
Before you bring them in
- Let us know whether and when they last ate. Some tests, and any anaesthesia, require fasting.
- Water stays available — fasting applies to food, not water, unless we tell you otherwise.
- Bring any earlier results and a list of medications they're on, including anti-parasite tablets.
- Stay reachable by phone during the day. If we can't reach you, we won't do anything beyond what was agreed.
- Be honest about how they behave at the vet. "Scratches and bites" is nothing to be ashamed of — it's information that helps us approach them the right way.
